Definition

A long, fine shafted, cutting forcep with finger rings. The shaft tapers into a sharp arrow point that has small, but sharp cutting blades to the outer edges. This style of forcep is used for obstetric emergency surgery only: it is a destructive tool used to pierce the skull of a dead foetus.
