MODULE AIRBORNE for O2 concentrator

Indications

The airborne module for the oxygen concentrator is designed to prevent retro-contamination of the concentrator by the patient.

It avoids to replace the antibacterial filter located inside the concentrator by introducing an additional single-patient antibacterial filter placed externally. This filter is positionned between the oxygen outlet and the humidifier. After use, the filter must be discarded as infectious waste. The other components of this circuit can be autoclaved and reused.

Specifications

This module contains:

  • 2 x reusable humidifiers
  • 100 x antibacterial/antiviral filters (0.2 µ)
  • 2 x female connections to be fixed on the concentrator
  • silicone tubing and fixation material

Because the antibacterial filter is hydrophobe, it is important to follow the correct assembly sequence. The sequence is: oxygen outlet –> filter –> humidifier –> patient. Reversing the filter and the humidifier would cause a fibre tightening within the filter and result in obstruction of the oxygen circuit.

The oxygen concentrator is not included in the module and must be ordered separately.
