Treatment of moderate hypokalaemia
Instructions for use
7.5% potassium chloride oral solution (74.5 mg of K+/ml = 1 mEq of K+/ml = 1 mmol of K+/ml)
Must be given using a medicine cup or an oral syringe.
Precautions for Use
CAUTION!
In case of supply issue, the 10% oral solution (100mg K+/ml, 1.33 K+mEq/ml) (DORAPOTC1S-) can be used as an alternative to the 7.5% oral solution.
In this situation, the dosage must be adjusted to prevent overdose and reduce the risk of medication errors, as follows:

Always ensure that the correct medication is administered, in the correct dose, to the correct patient, at the correct time, and by the correct route.
