Instructions for use
- Express the desired amount of breast milk into a clean feeding cup.
- Gently squeeze the cup to fill the feeding reservoir.
- Ensure the baby is in a semi-upright position with a supported head and neck.
- Bring the cup to baby's mouth. Do not pour the milk into the mouth. Allow the baby to actively feed from the reservoir at her own pace.
Precautions for Use
Do not use the cup to administer medication.
Maintenance
The cup can be reused as long as proper cleaning and disinfection procedures are followed between uses with different infants.
Clean and disinfect before the first use.
MSF requirements
For neonates/infants with breastfeeding difficulties, including:
- premature neonates who are too small to breastfeed
- sick neonates/infants who are too weak to breastfeed
- neonates and infants with oral-facial malformations
For malnourished infants (especially for those < 6 months of age) who may fall into the 'sick babies' category above or who require additional support to consume breast milk.
