Definition

Forceps used in surgery for gripping and dissecting tissues, as well as for the coagulation of vessels.

Specifications

The most notable feature of DeBakey forceps is its ribbing on the handle. Most forceps have fine ribbing on the grip handles. DeBakeys have a rough-ribbed grip section.

The tips are slender and rounded. They are lined with two rows of teeth that are very small.

The spring tension of DeBakey forceps is soft and easy.
