Instructions for use
Use the opaque side of the bag to write the following information:
- medicine name
- dosage
- duration of treatment
- patient's name
- date of dispensing.
Simple pre-printed icons allow to indicate dose distribution over the day (morning, midday, evening, night).
Use language the patient can understand (drawing + number).
Write using a ball point pen or fine permanent marker.
Use one bag per medicine and per treatment.
Close the bag tightly after opening.
Remarks:
- For oral treatments of chronic diseases (TB, AIDS, etc.), it is recommended to use a tablet planner.
- For liquids and ointments, use recycled containers with a cap (e.g. containers from injectable products), ensuring they are throughly cleanedand dried before use.
Storage
Keep bags in their protective packaging and away from dust until use.
