LIGHTN-SURGE PROT t.1+2+3 (Dehn956315) 4P/100kA, mod+contact

Form

This SPD provides combined Type 1, Type 2 and Type 3 protection for 230/400 V AC installations, using spark-gap technology with Rapid Arc Control (RAC) for extremely high energy handling, no leakage current, and coordinated protection in L/N and N/PE modes. The unit is fully prewired and includes plug-in protection modules with mechanical indicators and remote signaling.

  • nominal system voltage (UN): 230/400 V AC

  • maximum continuous operating voltage (Uc): 255 V AC (L–N and N–PE)

  • voltage protection level (Up): ≤ 1.5 kV (L–N), ≤ 1.5 kV (N–PE)

  • short-circuit withstand (ISCCR): 50 kA (L–N), 100 A rms (N–PE)

  • nominal discharge current (In): 25 kA / 100 kA (8/20 µs)

  • SPD type / class: type 1 + type 2 + type 3 (IEC 61643-11)

  • Iimp: 25 kA (L–N), 100 kA (N–PE) (10/350 µs)

  • number of poles: 3-phase + Neutral (3+1 configuration)

  • dimensions: 90 x 72 x 66 mm

  • weight: 0.548 kg

Per piece.

Fit

  • installation location: main AC distribution board / sub-distribution

  • recommended back-up fuse / MCB: max. 250 A gG (according to system short-circuit level)

  • AC system compatibility: 230/400 V AC (TT / TN-S, 3+1 configuration)

  • mounting type: 35 mm DIN rail

  • IP protection: IP20

  • max wire size: 6…35 mm² (stranded) / 6…25 mm² (fine-stranded)

Function

The surge protective device (SPD) protects AC electrical installations and connected equipment against transient overvoltages caused by lightning currents and switching events.
Using spark-gap technology with Rapid Arc Control (RAC), it diverts high-energy surges safely to ground with no leakage current and provides coordinated Type 1, Type 2 and Type 3 protection.
It ensures effective protection in both L/N and N/PE modes for terminal equipment and downstream circuits.
