Therapeutic Action

Hypertonic solution of 3% sodium chloride

Indications

Severe symptomatic hyponatremia, including seizures, confusion, or coma

Increased intracranial hypertension pressure in patients with traumatic brain injury

Cerebral oedema

Sodium supplementation in parenteral nutrition when fluid volume must be limited

Electrolyte correction when only a small volume of water is required, administered via slow intravenous infusion.

Instructions for use

Must be given as IV infusion.

Do not confuse with normal saline!

This product is currently only available in PVC-free semi-rigid bottles.

Below 25ºC

Caution!

It is important to pay attention to stack-piling, handling and internal transport conditions to prevent compression of the secondary packaging, which could lead to micro-leakage of the bottle or bag (risk of microbial contamination).
