Form

The water testing lab is made out of:

  • a portable USB powered incubator
  • a small reusable plastic concentrating disk
  • a 50 ml syringe
  • a pair of tweezers

Outside the incubator is a digital temperature control, an electric heating pad, and a USB charging port. A USB cable is included.

Fit

The incubator can be used and turned on by connecting it to any USB power source.

Function

The water analysis laboratory can be used to test for faecal contamination in water samples.

The portable incubator maintains the compact dry Escherichia coli detection plates at an average temperature of 38 to 42 degrees for 14 to 16 hours so that E. coli and coliform colonies become visible to the naked eye.

To perform the test correctly, you will need to add alcohol, tissues and a fine-tip marker.

The kit cannot be used without also purchasing:

  • 40 paper filters 0.45 micron / 47 mm diameter (CWATTEST0CFM)
  • 40 compact dry Escherichia coli detection plates (CWATTESTW5C4)
