Function
For measuring arsenic levels over the range 2-100ppb As
Arsenic is a cumulative poison that causes skin cancer, liver cancer and leukaemia. It is present in water in its toxic free reduced form As (III), or in its oxidized form As (V), which is less soluble and non-toxic.
Arsenic is mainly present in groundwater.
The arsenic concentrations can vary according to seasonal episodes (floods, dry season) and also show a very strong geographic variability.
